Effective immediately, anyone reaching 1000 posts will automatically be promoted to Elite status. Elite status gives you several benefits, however the Elite forum is no more, so that is not one of them. You will have larger PM box size, larger upload ability, bigger avatar capability, plus other benefits.

I don't see the benefits when you closed the best parts of the site.

Well, based on the fact that everyone my friends and family know that have gone to Iraq were specifically told that if they sign up, they would not go there, yes. We don't know anyone that has signed on that has not gone.

They are given false information whenever possible, however.

Always been that way im afraid. The generals sit on a mountain top looking down at the cannon fodder below blowing themselves apart. Nature of the beast sadly but it no secret that if you join up you could in all likeliness see action.

I never went to Iraq in the 8 1/2 years I was in. In fact they sent me exactly where I asked to go, to Japan.

Now they did fuck me over in the job department though.

Unfortunately what you deem as the BEST part of the Elite turned out to be the worst.... It wasn't just a random decision of mine to shut down the Elite forum, believe me....

I believe that you will always do what is best for the forum Jay gusbucket.gif

As I have no idea what I am going to miss as soon as I am part of the Elite, I´m fine with Jay´s efforts to make JSII an even better place. He set JSII up years ago and it´s on him to take responsibilty (if we others can´t).
