ZB on AA is a SOB, he does sound biased, very negative towards BS, I wonder what his beef is against it?, I said it's a great game and he basically told me I don't know what a good game is because he catagorized me as a console only gamer, therefore I don't what a good game is.
I could have said; well you know what they say about opinions - their like assholes every one's got one pal.

but I didn't want to feed into his negativity and start a flame war so I just explained I have games on the PC also.
He said he's played it, so it's not like he's mad about not ever having a copy.
This has been going on for many years now. There's not much we can do about it.
There are probably many motivations behind the negativity. Some are just resentful that the game was successful and someone other than them has a tiny smidgen more fame than they have, so they try and sabotage the popularity of the game. Others are people who just like to incite flames, and they found a hot topic, sure to cause an eruption. Others are just people who have been slapped down by myself or Oppressor over the years and now they bear a grudge.
In any case, it's mostly sour grapes and obviously contribed complaints about the game. All subjective and difficult to prove. You'll notice a LOT of popular games have these kinds of "I don't know why this sucky game is so popular" detractors.
There's also a segment of bashers who are mad because they see the game as a "cash cow" and when our efforts to stop the gravy train failed, we stopped selling them. This pissed them off and now they bash us over it. The high prices these games fetch on ebay attracts a constant stream of "new" gold-diggers who learn the history and join in the bashing.
It sucks to sell a game and make a few dollars for charity, only to see the buyer sell it on ebay the next day for hundreds of dollars profit.
What can you do?
