At a yard sale I found one complete in box with 2 controllers and 4 games! And it works too! How much would this be worth?

Great find!!

I've been playing some Neo Geo CD lately. Load times aren't as bad as I remembered on the early low memory size games. Been trying to figure out which titles I'd want to 'upgrade' to MVS carts but the early games that only load initially or between levels aren't too painful on NGCD. Remixed CDDA soundtracks too. Later NGCD releases have long, frequent loading though and really tainted my memories of the console. Hate to admit it but I actually 'demoted' my Jaguar to the back shelf and swapped the NGCD into its place a couple weeks ago.

Also been comparing some of the NGCD games on the Dreamcast emulator. Everything loads much faster but there are definitely some minor emulation glitches.

If you like some of the early Neo Geo games you might want to keep the console... most of the early Neo Geo games are much cheaper on NGCD than AES or MVS.

So, you found the Neo Geo CD-Z system with the double speed CD ROM Drive. Nice score, but make sure that when you play it you keep it in a well ventilated space as they are easily overheated. This is the big reason SNK stopped manufacturing the CD-Z system. As long as air can get to the system though, it should be fine.

Uhm, I was not aware that there was another front loading Neo Geo CD model. You got me there man as this is news to me. Then again, I was out of the loop for a bit at that time. More into the Saturn and all at the time.
