QUOTE(walter_J64bit @ Dec 14 2006, 02:31 PM) I've been looking to get one are they any good? They´re excellent, but not backlit sadly. There are a bunch of great games for the system and the NGPC has got THE best analog thumbpad of any handheld. Great gaming experiences for me include the two excellent Metal Slug games, Sonic the Hedgehog (way better than those on any Gameboy), Neo Turf Masters (great golf game), Samurai Spirits 2, and Shanghai Mini. Mine sees a lot of action. |

QUOTE THE best analog thumbpad of any handheld. Are you sure it's analog? it's awful microswitch-clicky and I've not got any games for mine that respond to analog input? |

I've wanted one for a while now, but I just never have had the opportunity to snag one. Then again, if anybody wants to trade a spare unit for some Xbox games or something, send me a PM...

I think its a great little system with a bunch of quality games. I've played mine regularly the last few years and I always forget exactly when I changed the batteries last in the thing because I only have to do it once or twice a year. |

Neo Geo Pocket Color is, in short, awesome! The system should have done much better than it did. Hell, you can't get the Back Light for it? Buy a Worm Light, it works just fine, that's what I am going to do man!

QUOTE(ecwfan @ Dec 16 2006, 11:28 PM) This system has a lot of fun games. Highly recommended. Yeah, and what is even more cool is the fact that it is dirt cheap to boot for real quality games. I innitially got mine for like $70.00 brand new with seven games new, that was a steal! |

The NGPC is a great system. It is not backlit but you can hack it and have a brighter image. I have one and t changes everything

QUOTE(walter_J64bit @ Dec 14 2006, 08:31 AM) I've been looking to get one are they any good? They're great, but they do have a few problems. The back light is, most definitely, the major thing that I feel is missing from the system. I'd recommend staying away from the black and white version, too, as the dpad doesn't seem as responsive as the color system. Michael |
