I know how to do this repair, I've done it before. I accidentally plugged in the wrong power pack and blew out my regulator. I thought I had a spare on hand but I can't find it, and the sticky thread that used to be here at JS2 on repairing it has disappeared (whats the point of sticky's if ther going to be erased?).
Anyhow, I can't make out the full designation to by another replacement, so if someone could link me to the repair thread, a site that has the details or just the chip designation so I can order another it would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just physically check a Jag that I have open. The part is a Motorola (now ON Semiconductor) MC34163DW. Here is a link to a datasheet. Mouser has them for about $3.22 a piece (I need to get some too) because I have a Jag with a blown regulator myself.

Also Best Electronics has them but wants about $10 a piece.
