Judas-Prime I am really surprised how much I like the white d-pad and buttons! Thanks! The white buttons are actually an off white slightly grey color.... the come off as white in these pics.. I also have Ivory, which is blindingly white. I'm waiting on supplies atm but in my downtime Im Working on a ridiculous Joystick / D-pad combo one piece replacement D-Pad. Should be pretty cool...Ill post pics as soon as i have something to show.....Im also working on Entire Controller cases in different colors. These parts are all new pieces made from molds and liquid resin. Each piece is solid resin and the color is chemically reactive to the resin so no color bleed, leeching, or chipping. Its been really fun making these parts. |

Good work!
You´re the first person providing replacement controller parts and they look great, congratulations!! Hope to see that controller cases soon, I think most of the people (me included) who has white Jag cases will want them controllers pimped too. |

That's absolutely fantastic! Totally look forward to some grey/light blue combinations like the falcon/dev joypads.

I'M BACK!...
Well, after looking at those, not much to be said that can't ascertained from using your eyes: they look awesome! I liked the little experiment with the marbling effect. It was quite amusing! Does the 'grey' (not white) match with the grey buttons & keypad? If so, I'd love to get 3x buttons for my pad. I think it would look understated, but different, yet cool So yeah, buttons and all ARE cool. But are there any plans for other moulds too? |

Whilst these look nice from an aestetic point of view, have you considered actually improving the d-pad as well? I cant be alone thinking its actually a not very good d-pad.. My thumb tends to slide around on it rather than be fairly stationary and just tilting the d-pad like on other controllers for other systems. I know no one can really make a Sega type d-pad to be a drop in replacement, since that controller is completely different on the inside as well, but the general shape could be a bit more agressive than on the Jaguar offerings.. I have to press quite hard on the jaguar controllers i have, in order for my thumb to not slide around too much.
I would also like to see you make buttons for the Pro controller as well. Edit: Actually, maybe your "analog stick" type thingy would work actually for my problem? I didnt check ALL the pics before my initial post... Yeah, the jag D-pad is pretty unreliable when comparing controllers to each other. i feel this has more to do with the underlying rubber conta t pads and the fact that atari designed the pads to need inward pressure to keep the butons aligned. Regardless of that, the Nub D-paD does make it easier to activate the directionals....its not a perfect fix...but I am working on some dpad mods that hopefully will remedy lost of little problems with the controls. Ultimately, its more than just the D-pad itself that causes the squashy, unresponsiveness that allot of jag fans experience. |

I know, thats what i tried to hint at while comparing with the awesome sega d-pads.. But ANY improvement to the d-pad itself, will be SOME improvement, regardless of the membrane underneath it. I hope you can get something together, id definetly be interested in buying a replacement. -------------------- I have Asperger's Syndrome, which means i can come across as rigid and overly argumentative. I hope you can get something together, id definetly be interested in buying a replacement. There are a few simple improvements that shouldn't be too hard to implement. I am looking into lengthening the strike arms on the bottom of the dpad slightly to close the gap between the dpad and the silicon membrane underneath. The biggest issue with the jag dpad is that the thumb rests to low to have appropriate lateral force without "sliding" your thumb in a direction and then pressing down. Jag players are basically having to press much harder than they should have to. I am also looking into using microswitches from an xbox 360 controllers bumper buttons. They are super small and could replace the entire upper circuit board in the jag controller....but thats a different mod...... |

I really hope you look further into that one as well. I'd sure be interested depending on final price etc. BTW, good to know the "press harder" issue wasnt just me then. My thumbs start getting sore and tired after just an hour really, and ive been playing games for well over 25 years now, and never really experienced a d-pad this bothersome before. People complain about the general feel of the controller, but other than the d-pad, i like it. But i have big hands, might be one reason.
