I heard that no one knows yet if Aliens will actually be in it for sure - I can't imagine they will leave them out though. Or maybe some sort of proto-alien that the humans accidentally end up creating. Either way, this looks good.

Turns out it isn't necessarily a prequel although it was originally suppose to be. What I read awhile back said there were too many plot restrictions, etc. BUT in the new trailer some creature they show looks like one of the smaller aliens. Also it isn't suppose to be "in the same universe" but you'll see a lot of "kin" features. Almost like a sister movie? We'll see! I was really looking forward to this movie but I did well to go into it with the right expectations.
The images and the performance by Fassbinder are a joy to behold. Unfortunatley the script is a bit weak and there are far too many charakters with little to no development so it is hard to care for them. It's a good movie but with a stronger script it could have been great. Still miles ahead of anything with aliens in it from the last few years:-) BTW I saw it in an IMAX theater in the Netherlands and decided that IMAX is the way to go for movies with such brilliant images. I'm looking forward watching The Dark Knight Rises on this screen. The 3D also seemed miles better than the usual image I get in the cinema near me.
