The one game that I've always wanted, but never managed to purchase, is Lords of Thunder for the TG-16 / TurboDuo.

Awesome game!! I played it once when it was on display at Radio Shack (wow, remember when they used to sell TG-16s?), fell in love with it and told myself, "I will buy this game." smile.gif

I'm looking to add this game to my collection also. I've heard a lot of good things about it and seen great screen shots.

Flea markets are always good places to find games. Though I don't see many Turbo games show up there. Once in a while I'm pleasantly surprised. Recently I picked up Fighting Streets, Last Alert, Valis 2 and Neutopia.

One time I did see someone selling a whole box of sealed Parasol Stars games. The guy wanted to sell me the whole box but I only bought 1. This was about 10 years ago and I regret not buying the damn box! Who knew Turbo games would be so sought after? wacko.gif

You can also try picking up the Sega CD version. Though I've heard it's not as good as the TG16 version. The TG16 can display more colors on screen and so makes it look a lot better.

Neutopia's not bad, but Neutopia 2 is an AWESOME game. I blew hours and hours playing it, but never finished it. (it was a borrowed copy, and I had to give it back!) sad.gif

Turbo Duo-R

Is this strictly just an import console or is there something special about it?
I've never seen one before... and was curious if any of you knew anything about it?

(Why am I slightly reminded of the JagDuo when I see this thing! or that other rare Maria? Atari Proto..)

Yeah, it's import only. I can't remember what the R version was though. I just had the PC Engine Duo myself.

I love my Turbo-Express. I've been playing alot of
R-Type lately; I find it almost soothing, the hypnotic
shimmering of the pixels as the screen slowly scrolls.

Big Turbo fan here, although my Turbo Duo isn't working right now. Need to get it fixed. Sadly got rid of my PC-FX while I was in Japan. Probably the one system I truly regret getting rid of.

The Arcade card only came out in Japan.  You will need a converter to use it on the US models.  There are 2 models,  Arcade Duo (for turbo duo) and Arcade Pro (For Regular TG16).  The games that came out for the Arcade card are Art of Fighting, and some other Neo Geo games.

Donīt forget the amazing vertical shooter, Sapphire. The ONLY reason you need to get an Arcade card (besides the fact that with the Arcade card inserted you donīt need the Super CD card).

tongue.gif A great Option to the system, for the time being, is to buy a copy of Magic Engine. It plays The Turbo graphix CD's, and Super CD's with no problem. Not sure if it plays any of the arcade CD's.

Iīm pretty sure it doesnīt.

I have a PC Engine Duo. Went for the Japanese version due to the extreme amount of great Jap-only Hucards.

Also I have a SuperGrafx, which sadly doesnīt get to see much action these days.

I have a TG-16 with around 10 games, turbo Express, and a PC Engine with around 20 games. I really enjoy playing the PC Engine, there is alot of good games that where never brought to America.

Anyone have a good source for cheap, but decent, TG16 games? Like VGLQ was for a while with the Jag? I actually have a TurboExpress (!) but only have a couple games (Victory Run... some other game that the guy swore worked but I never got it to..). The games that interest me seem fairly expensive... wasn't sure if I just didn't know 'the source' to go to.
