You can find disc overwrappers for fairly cheap. If someone was inclined to resell games as a business, it would be a good idea to find an inexpensive machine like this one. This machine does a good job and it costs about $320.00USD

If the gentleman wrapping the game in this video would have taken his time and heated the corners, they would have folded in also. Take a look at the site for the machine also. It shows a nice pic of one of the corners and it looks very professional. My point is, there are inexpensive ways to do a professional job of wrapping a dvd case. I think it is totally possible that someone who sells a lot of products on ebay and would profit a little more if they were shrink-wrapped would purchase something like this and use it.

I am not saying this person did this or anything. I am just giving my opinion.

It's a nice machine except those who use it for the wrong reasons. For an eBayer selling lots of items, if they do random games then it could keep the illusion of them having genuine sealed items when they are in their living room making them.

Uh, that looks like the custom dvd artwork created by Raven1280. I'm pretty sure I have the exact same thing for my copy of WTR. So, I guess that's 4 copies seen using the same design?! laugh.gif

If so do you know if they were sealed like that, or is it an original game in a box and then someone else has sealed it to pass it off as a new game, or maybe a copy of the game with the case and then sealed? Anyway to confirm anything with Raven1280?

99% sure that's my cover. I uploaded them all to thecoverproject.net a few years ago.

Yeah, hunh. Surprising how they more or less say in that video, "Use this machine to fake seal used games for profit!" Having said that, I ran through some of the seller's other items, and that was at least when I looked the only item sealed that way. I can't imagine that seller having bought the machine to do it for just that one game.

10p6 -- what's your plans for when you get it? Are you going to open it? I think that would really go a long way to solving this... and, if it is a fake which I think even without that funky / scary machine that JaguarGod mentioned, I would peg at a 90%+ chance that it is, it's the only way you can return it / get a refund if need be.

I think it would be fairly pointless to purchase that machine for one game here and there also. But my point was to show that it can be done cheaply. Do you think it is possible that it could have been repackaged by the store he bought it at? I can't seem find anything on the store he purchased it at though.

No matter what though, World Tour Racing is one of, if not, my favorite Jag game as it if an F1 style game. I play it so much still today! I was bidding on this item and lost out to 10p6 in the last second. I was curious too as to what was going on with it.

10p6, we would love to hear your thoughts after you receive the game. I hope you decide to play it.

I am not sure if I am going to open it right away as I am hoping a friend can x-ray it. I can tell you though that it is a fake. The DVD case is relatively recent, and the DVD sleeve for WTR is an exact copy of the one on here in the download section. As for the money and return this was part of a test to see how many Jag games are being copied. I now have three different ones, and this is by far the cheapest. I am almost tempted to find out who's fingerprints are hiding under those nice protective shrink-wrapped games.

Looking forward to hearing if it's an original game disc, a plain old burned CD-R or even (heaven forbid) a dodgy counterfeit effort. dry.gif
