This is a nice thread, but id like to ask a question. As a newbie to Atari Jaguar, i am under the understanding that not all games came with overlays. Is there a sort of list which tells me which games actually game with overlays? That would be great to know while looking for complete games on ebay etc.

Ive checked the price guide here on the website, but it doesnt include overlay info. Ive also done some googling, but usually end up finding only custom overlay lists.

Anyone know?

Although the question was not recent, if you 're still looking for that list, pay a look here: http://www.atariage.com/system_items.html?...mTypeID=OVERLAY

It lists almost all the games which came with overlays

hi guys

Was there ever any answer for a successful way of printing these overlays? mine came out too small and I think it may be due to the originals posted on here saying 'image reduced to 91%' who knows? Various software is bound to produce various results I think.

I'd be happy to purchase some 'pro' produced ones but I don't know whether anyone got it together to be the one to offer this.

cheers.

It is difficult to print out overlays the correct size as it depends on the size of the original image (DPI) and the DPI/liniarity of printer being used, you just have to keep trying unit it comes out the correct size.
If anything it is better to get too big an image and reduce it than to scale a small image up if you want good results. As I recall that is what I did when was producing replacements although it has been a couple of years since I last produced any.

Gaztee was getting some professionally printed that included the embossing for the keypad buttons, I don't know if he is still doing it though.

Thanks Stephen, I have been experimenting and I think you're right that this is the only way to do it. Although I'd prefer pro printed ones..any news Gaztee?

All the best.

Thought I would throw a few of these on here...

I don't know if anyone bothered with one for Tempest2000 (even though its not needed)

One for each controller!
If player two has the demon overlay- it looks like hes fighting with player ones controller.

But I think it just looks cool, and might be a good match for those rotary controllers that Danny Galaga has been making!

I know this is a reply to a three year old post...T2K uses the keypad to change between 3 views of the web, it really should be labeled on any overlay, or else there's not much point of an overlay. Obviously there are a few that just want artwork on the keypad, but I need overlays that are useful too, even though I know the buttons by heart.

This varient of which Gunstar speaks would make an nice addition to the existing T2K overlays..
