I already placed mine. I can hardly wait for this and to see the games that will be developed for it.

I hope I can get a pre-order in before time is up but of course now is when I have to spend money on health related problems.

Argh!

This hardware add-on release seems damn impressive from what I can make out for a whole load of reasons. Perhaps what so far most impresses me is the project's underlying concept rationale. Its inherent "vision" sure is something all those involved deserve applause and recognition for. The potential further scope to be realised in the sphere of 7800 gaming in consequence seems a mouthwatering prospect. Thanks to Curt for posting the thread here and best wishes to the device's creators for a hoped for future success. cheers2.gif

It's only any good if there's software being developed for it... so let's hope we get some good ones..

Just the high score saving ability alone is worth it, not to mention the sound chip. It looks cool, and quite original(nice wink.gif) and has great potential for game development from this point on.

I haven't ordered one yet but really should. smile.gif

Anyone have this to give a review?

I think it's cute to see kids think they beat my high score on games... biggrin.gif

EDIT: Wait a second. Is this even out yet? When is the projected release date?

Second edit: Where do you get a grey Jaguar with blue detail? http://www.atarimuseum.com/videogames/cons...7800/expansion/

Don't know about everyone else, but I'm still waiting on it... I know Curt's been working on a book release and several other things; plus the passing of Tremail and other projects he seems to be involved in... As much as I want this system badly, I'd rather him take his time and release a quality XM then to release a crap system for $99.

Agreed although it sounded like it was about ready to go two years ago and then just waiting. Is he just waiting for more games to be ready for it to go?

I should least add that it would be awesome to see something like this for the Jag one day, something that could be used to replace the CD but more reliable. I know the Skunk board and Flash projects have been along those lines, although only Skunk has made it out.

I know... It's the only reason why I haven't pitched a hissyfit about the long wait on it. I sure would like to see this thing delivered to my door soon; AA defenitly could learn a thing or two about releasing new hardware... But on the other hand my former statement still stands about the quality of this thing; I'd rather them take their time and release a good quality system then to deliver a pile of junk, which is what it looks like Curt is trying to do, but man I wish they hurry it up.

No doubt, better to do it right the first time and take more time now than fuck it up and release a turd and try to fix it later.
